Funeral services for George Shaffer Baxter at Cement, who died Wednesday at the home of his son in Oklahoma City, will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Cement First Baptist Church. The Rev. Whitley Garrett, pastor of the Fairview First Baptist Church will officiate assisted by the Rev. Cletis Lee, pastor of the Cement church. Interment will be in the Wood Memorial Cemetery, Cement under the direction of the Dalton Funeral Home.

Mr. Baxter was born April 6, 1899 in Marion, Ind. and married Pearl Braden McCaughtry May 8, 1922 in Trinidad, Colo. They moved to Cement in 1928 and Mrs. Baxter preceded him in death in 1962. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 297 of Cement.

His survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Bryene Joy Culp of Cyril; three sons, Floyd, Canadian, Tex., Loyd F., Cement and Orvid F of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Cooke, Chickasha and Mrs. Elizabeth Rogers, Marion, Ind.; one brother, Earl, Altus and 12 grandchildren.
