"Claude H. Peterson, 73, Rt. 1, Pass Christian, died Sunday at 9 p.m. at University Hospital in Jackson where he had been a patient since Aug. 19. Mr. Peterson was born April 14, 1896 in Hancock County. He was a retired employee of the Ingalls Shipbuilding Corp., Pascagoula. He was a Catholic. Mr. Peterson is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Northrop, Gulfport; and Mrs. Effie Turner, Slidell; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Lonnie Garriga, Fenton community. Friends may call at Riemann Funeral Home in Gulfport on Tuesday after 4:30 p.m. The funeral service is tentatively set for 2 p.m. Wednesday. A prayer service will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home followed by the funeral service at Fenton Catholic Church. Interment will be in Bayou Coco Cemetery."
