Jessie Wayne Tabraham was born June 12, 1945 in Grand Saline. He had been a resident of Van for 58 years. He worked for Tyler Pipe, Morton Salt, and Roco Drilling & Service. He retired from Van ISD, where he worked for 15 years and more recently, Larry Reynolds Plumbing. He was a skilled welder, loved to garden, and was always helping others in need. He was a Freemason and a friend to everyone.
Wayne passed away at the age of 77 on May 29, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred & Iama Holden Tabraham; son, Travis Wayne Tabraham; daughter, Stephine Preston; sister and brother-in-law, Jerry & Winfred Huddle; sister, Jean Durham; brother and sister-in-law, Fred Jr. and Claudia Tabraham; and brother and sister-in-law, Buddy & Rita Tabraham; and great-grandchildren, Levi Stanberry, Parker Stanberry, and Josephine Stanberry.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Debra Tabraham of Van; four children, David Tabraham and wife, Robin, Teresa Stanberry, Justin Tabraham, and Aleasha King and husband, Hugo; brothers, Bob Tabraham and wife, Linda and Hurbert "Hub" Tabraham and wife, Glenda; sister, Carolyn Smith; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild on the way.
