MRS. AURELIA ADAMS - A native of Chunchula, Ala., and a resident of 2305 Adams Lane, Plateau, Ala., for more than 29 years, passed away Saturday, Dec. 25, 1971, at 1:30 a.m., in a local hospital. She is survived by her devoted husband, Mr. Lucious Adams, Sr.; five daughters, Mrs. Mary Lee Wooten, Mrs. Annie L. Campbell of Mobile, Miss Lena Jergain of Prichard, Miss Sarah Adams, Miss Melba Jones of Plateau; one step-daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Mae Coleman of Mobile; three sons, Mr. Lucious Adams, Jr., Mr. Clarence Jones, and Mr. John W. Jones of Plateau; one sister, Miss Bella Jones of Mobile; two brothers, Mr. Whitney Jones of Chunchula, and Mr. Peter Jones of Plateau; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Hazel M. Adams of Plateau; two sons-in-law, Mr. Jimmie Lee Wooten, Mr. Andrew Campbell of Mobile; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Ora Lee Jones of Plateau, Mrs. Tina Jones of Chunchula, Mrs. Anna Caldwell of New Orleans, La.; 25 grandchildren; three brothers-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends, three devoted friends, Mrs. Marie Gibbs, Mrs. Theresa Robinson and Mrs. Sarah Davis of Plateau.
Her remains will lie in state at The Union Baptist Church Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1971, at 6 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the church Thursday, Dec. 30, at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Plateau Cemetery. Hodge's Funeral Chapel directing (successors to Smith and Gaston), Taylor H. Hodge Sr., president.
