Obit for Rosa Hoten in Tne Brighton Argus
ROSA B. HOTEN DEAD
Little did we think that when Miss Rosa B. Hoten left the employ of the Argus in October that in just a few short weeks we would chronicle her death, but such is the case. She passed away at the home of her parents in Chesaning Friday afternoon after an illness of about a week with the flue. The funeral was held at the house Sunday afternoon and was private. She was about 42 years of age and is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Hoten; one brother Vernie, at home; and one sister, Mrs. Samuel Hill of Lansing.
Rosa B. Hoten came to Brighton in August, 1916 to work for the Argus and from that time till her departure last fall she was one of the consistent conscientious employees that any business ever afforded. She was held in the highest respect by everyone who knew her. She left here with the expectation of getting an easier and more lucrative job with the State Journal in Lsnsing, but her physical condition
