Zoe was born in Canada in 1815 to L'Ange and Marie Louise (Beaudoin) Parent. She married Charles Ducharme on August 12, 1834 and together they had 12 children: Ellen, Octave, Adeline, Angelique, Marcelline, Amable, Francois, Marie Asilda, Valerie, Alexandre, Rose DeLima and Noel. After moving to Massachusetts with Ellen, she lived in Leeds Village, a suburb of Northampton, where she died in 1903.
