Charles E. Baker, 92, of Elyria; passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023. Charles was born on July 13, 1930, to George and Cora (nee Reed) Baker in Burdine, Kentucky.

Charles served his country in the US Army during the Korean War, then was employed for the Ford Motor Company for 33 ½ years working in Lorain and Avon Lake.

Charles was a faithful member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Elyria and member of the UAW Local 2000.

Charles loved all types of music, but especially bluegrass music. He enjoyed time playing his guitar and singing, hunting, and bee keeping.

Surviving members of his family are his wife of 18 years, Christine; children Steve Baker (Nancy Cuson) of North Ridgeville, Jerry L. Baker (Karen), Debbie Davidson of Elyria and Robin Gregg (Rick) of Avon; grandchildren Shane, Chad, Evan, Jessie, Trishia, Jeremy, Molly, Amy, Sarah, Jordan, Kaitlyn, Madison and Cori; twenty-one great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; step children Angie Denen (Bob) , Keith Martin (Shelly),and Stacy Martin (Erica); six step grandchildren; eleven step great grandchildren; and siblings Bobby Baker, Phyllis Hall and Thelma Stanley.

Preceded in death by his parents, George and Cora, son Terry, and brothers Junior, Earl, Jimmy and Lonnie.

Visitation will be held at the Church of God of Prophecy, 11233 Lagrange Rd., Elyria with funeral service to follow. Burial to take place at Brookdale Cemetery. Pastor Jeff Baker to officiate.
