"Truly great friends are hard to find, difficult to leave, and impossible to forget."
West Bountiful, UT. Madolin Morley, 16, pure and compassionate, wise beyond her years, and a friend to everyone, returned home to her Heavenly Parents on May 23, 2023, after an unexpected incident surrounded by loving friends. Madolin leaves with us a light and an example that will never be forgotten.
Madolin was born on September 19, 2006, in Salt Lake City, UT to Weston Jay Morley and Melissa Sanford Morley. She grew up in a love-filled home surrounded by horse pastures for 16 years in quiet West Bountiful. Her smile was contagious and she was as sweet as they come. Madolin was gifted beyond measure with unique abilities and attributes that take most people a lifetime to accomplish.
Madolin applied her gifts and talents, including hard work, self-discipline, and determination, to excel in education that has given her intelligence she knew would carry on with her into the next life. After attending West Bountiful Elementary, Madolin maintained a 4.0 GPA through her entire school years at Bountiful Junior High and through her sophomore year at Viewmont High School - which she had just completed - that included four advanced college level courses. Madolin was the National Honor Society 9th Grade President and earned many awards, won scholastic competitions, and earned acknowledgements which she quietly and humbly received.
You could often find Madolin at home, studying for school, working on a project, helping her mom, telling a funny story, or making some type of thoughtful gift or note to share with someone she loved. She enjoyed simplicity in life through organizing, good food, shopping and nails with her sister, reading, and games. Madolin was gifted musically and loved to play the piano and share her beauty through sound. Madolin shared her testimony of Christ through her smile and making you feel welcome and loved. She was a peacemaker. She was also her brother's #1 sports fan, a hiker, a snow-skier, a nurturer to children, a bike race supporter, a dog lover, a traveler, a home project helper, a planner, a scientist, an engineer, an astronaut, and a Southern Utah explorer - but only with a helmet, lifejacket, or seatbelt on. One of her favorite things to do was to get some takeout food with her family and then cuddle up on the couch to watch an episode of Survivor, a Harry Potter or Star Wars movie, or a good Disney classic. Above all, Madolin cherished her time with family and friends. She was truly a gift.
