Memorial Rites Set For Mrs. A. T. Hyde
Memorial services for a former Wichitan, Mrs. A. T. (Fern) Hyde, have been tentatively set for Aug. 8 at Maple Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Hyde died July 21 in Carmel, Calif., where she had been visiting a daughter, Mrs. Roy Larson. Funeral services were held in Carmel, and her ashes will be interred in the Hyde family plot at Maple Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Hyde was the widow of Bert Hyde, whose father, A. A. Hyde, began marketing Mentholatum in Wichita in 1890.
Mrs. Hyde was born in Norwich, Kan., and was married in 1905. She moved to California after her husband's death in 1935.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Betty Mitchell, also of California; a son, A. T. Hyde Jr., president of Mentholatum Co., Buffalo, N.Y., and several grandchildren.
