Glenn D. McDowell

Glenn Dale McDowell, 58, St. Joseph, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 1990, in Heartland Hospital West, St. Joseph. He was born near Agency, and he attended school and grew up in St. Joseph. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He married Shirley Auxier in 1973 and lived in the Gower area for some years before moving to St. Joseph in 1982. Mr. McDowell worked as a truck driver for Cartwright Van Lines and Tollie Freightways of Kansas City; Doyle-Brant Trucking Co. of St. Joseph; and 5-M Trucking Co. of Savannah. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in St. Joseph.

Surviving: his wife; two daughters, Michelle and Kathy of the home; five brothers, Jerry of La Crescenta, Lloyd, Ernest and Jimmy, all of St. Joseph, and Furman of Robinson, three sisters, Edna Myers and Juanita Cline, both of St. Joseph, and Patricia Johnston of Ashland, S.D.

Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower.

Burial in Allen Cemetery, Gower. Friends may call from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.
