Funeral services for Mary Isabelle Armstrong, 83, of Ada, are being held at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. David Sutton officiating.

Burial is in Swan Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Criswell Funeral Home of Ada.

Mrs. Armstrong was born Aug. 8, 1924, in DeQueen, Ark., to Meddie Roy and Beulah (Wilson) Davidson. She died Monday, March 17, 2008, in Oklahoma City.

Mrs. Armstrong graduated from high school in DeQueen and was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church.

She married Kenneth Lee "Buck" Armstrong, Jan. 11, 1947, in Seminole. He preceded her in death, May, 1983.


Survivors include three sons, Jeff Armstrong and his wife, Susan, of Fort Smith, Ark., Greg Armstrong and his wife, Pamla, of Ada and Brian Armstrong and his wife, DeeDee of Atoka; one daughter, Gina Leach and her husband, Tommy, of Stillwater; one daughter-in-law, Karen Armstrong of Mustang; 11 grandchildren; Jason Armstrong, Jeremy Armstrong, Shane Armstrong, Adam Stout, Landry Leach, Andrew Leach, Lara Leach, Faith Kelley, Lindsey Cratin, Allison Armstrong and Caleb Armstrong; one great-granddaughter, Kallie; two sisters, Ev McClure and Vern Baber both of Sallisaw; two brothers, Sam Davidson of Mayfield, Ken. and Randy Davidson of Springdale, Ark.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and one son, Steve Armstrong.

Pallbearers are her grandsons.
