Bevie Jean Derrick, age 94, of Wolfe City, Texas passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023. Bevie was born in Maud, Texas on September 27, 1928, to Houston Howard and Beula Mae Minton.

Bevie grew up and completed elementary school in Maud, Texas where she met Edwin Levi Derrick. The 2 married on July 4th, 1945. They would go on to move to Mineral Wells Texas and start a family.

Bevie will always be remembered as a loving mother grandmother and friend to all that knew and loved her.

Bevie was preceded in death by her loving parents, her daughter, Debra Ann Odom, and her siblings Howard Houston Minton, Winnis Lea Dozier, and Charles William Minton.

She is also survived by 3 of her children, James Lee Derrick and his wife Joyce, Sheilah Jean Marshall, and Carolyn Jo Potts and her husband Fred. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild along with numerous nieces, nephews, and loving extended family.

A visitation for Bevie will be held Friday, May 26, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Roselawn Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM and concluding with a committal service in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens
