Lydia E Madrid

Lydia Edwina Madrid was born in Seligman, Arizona on February 16, 1929, to Adela and Felix Baca. She lived there the first 18 years of her life and graduated from Seligman High School. Lydia Madrid was 94 years old when her beautiful soul left us to be with the Lord on Friday, May 12, 2023.



She met her husband, Jose Madrid and was married on August 23, 1947, they moved to Barstow California and had three children, Anita Madrid, John Madrid and Larry Madrid. Lydia lived most of her life in Barstow, California and had many close friends. Her fondest memories were having family gatherings.


Lydia is proceeded in death by her husband, Jose Madrid and her three children Anita Jo Smith, Larry Madrid and John Madrid. Lydia is survived by her grandchildren, Robert Bates, Rose Madrid, Shannon Madrid, Erica Smith, and Vincent Smith, and 13 great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.


Lydia greatest inspiration was to be loved as she loved. She will be greatly missed. A committal service will occur Friday, June 2, 2023, at Mountain View Memorial Park, Barstow, California.
