She was born in Chebanse, IL on August 28, 1940, to the late Warren and Alice Smeaton Cahan. Twenty-nine years ago, she relocated from Kankakee, IL to East Palatka. Karen was very involved with her church, Trinity United Methodist. She loved and enjoyed spending time with her friends.
Besides her parents, Karen was also preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Dutour; a stepson, Michael Dutour; a stepdaughter, Michele Walavich; two brothers, Gilbert Cahan and Donald Cahan; and two sisters, Beverly Goff and Eunice Williams.
Left to cherish her memory are her two sons and their wives, a stepson, two stepdaughters, a brother-in-law and his wife, 12 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will take place at a later date at Palatka Memorial Gardens.
