KENTUCKY STANDARD OBITUARY – 03/07/2008

Mary "Bea" Culver, 87, Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at Parkview Huntington Hospital. She retired from Essex Wire in Andrews in 1977, where she worked as a machine operator. She attended Bible Baptist Church in Huntington and volunteered in food service at the Huntington Senior Center. She was born on March 19, 1920, in Nelson County. She married John William Culver in Nelson County September 24, 1940. She was preceded in death by her husband, John William Culver; two sons, Carl Wayne Culver and Donald Ray Culver; two grandsons; one great-grandson; two great-granddaughters; her parents, John Henry & Viola P. Kennedy Case; one sister, Mildred Foster; and two brothers, Carlos Case and Thomas Henry Case. Survivors include five sons, Paul K. Culver, Bardstown, Charles R. Culver, Fort Wayne, IN, William M. Culver, Elizabethtown, Keith Culver and Tommy G. Culver, both of Huntington, IN; eight daughters, Nellie Patrick, Peru, Joyce Durbin and Betty Hethcote, both of Bardstown, Brenda Gabel, Pheonix, Mary Farnsworth, Lois Vittitoe, Sharon Babb and Connie Crittendon, all of Huntington; 43 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Deloris Lucas, North Manchester, IN; and four brothers, Jessie Leo Case, George Edward Case and Walter F. Case, all of Wabash, and Larry R. Case, Bippus, IN. The funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Bailey-Love Mortuary with burial 11 a.m. Monday in Bardstown Cemetery. The Rev. Daniel Boone will officiate. Visitation is 2-7 p.m. Friday at Bailey-Love Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkview Home Healthcare and Hospice in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN 46750. Bailey-Love Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
