Mrs. Guthrie lived in Gadsden for many years and was an active member of 12th Street Baptist Church (Gadsden). She later moved to Pinson and became a member of North (Roebuck) Park Baptist Church. She was an R.N. and retired as a nurse from the State of Alabama, Dept of Youth Services, Vacea Campus in Roebuck, Alabama.
Preceded in death by her father, Alvin T. Bell; mother, Nell Browder Bell; son, Warren Alvin Burns.
She leaves a loving husband Lowrey Guthrie; sons, Frank (Michelle) Burns and Stewart (Kelly) Burns; sister, Frances Riggins; step-daughter, Debbie (Dennis) Mills; grandchildren, Pattie, Trey, Hall, Lake, Sydney, Shea, Zack, Amanda Mary and Brooke; step-grandchildren, Kevin and Clint; nephews and many Christian and loving friends.
