Mary Bell Burns Guthrie, age 67, of Pinson, died Wednesday, July 2, 2003. Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, July 5. The Rev. Bill Wilks will officiate. Burial at Crestwood Cemetery in Gadsden. Crestwood Funeral home is in charge.
Mrs. Guthrie lived in Gadsden for many years and was an active member of 12th Street Baptist Church (Gadsden). She later moved to Pinson and became a member of North (Roebuck) Park Baptist Church. She was an R.N. and retired as a nurse from the State of Alabama, Dept of Youth Services, Vacea Campus in Roebuck, Alabama.
Preceded in death by her father, Alvin T. Bell; mother, Nell Browder Bell; son, Warren Alvin Burns.
She leaves a loving husband Lowrey Guthrie; sons, Frank (Michelle) Burns and Stewart (Kelly) Burns; sister, Frances Riggins; step-daughter, Debbie (Dennis) Mills; grandchildren, Pattie, Trey, Hall, Lake, Sydney, Shea, Zack, Amanda Mary and Brooke; step-grandchildren, Kevin and Clint; nephews and many Christian and loving friends.
