The death of Mr,. Richard Mayer, the beloved son of Mi. Adolph Mayer, occured Wednesday morning at the residence oi his father, 15.S 7 Euclid avenue. Mr. Mayer, who was born and raised in Cleveland, was forty-two years old. He was one ol the founders of the Popular Shoe Store, and up to fourteen years ago was a prominent figure In business and social circles oi our community. On account of ill health he was compelled to withdraw from all activities, and though he was an invalid for many years, he never lost his cheerfulness; he bore his intense sufferings with heroic fortitude until death came to his relief. The funeral will take place from the residence of his father, 1587 E
Euclid avenue, this afternoon, at 2 o'clock standard, and the Interment is to be at Mayfield Cemetery. Dr. Machol will officiate.

The deceased is survived by his father, Mr. Adolph Mayer, and three sisters, Mrs. N. I. Dryfoos, Mrs. M. J. Mandelbaum, of this city, and Mrs. A. Woll, New York, The Jewish Independent
