PAULINE L. BERGERON BURLINGTON — Pauline L. Bergeron of Burlington, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007, at her daughter's home, surrounded by her family. Born in Boston on Feb. 23, 1919, Pauline came to Burlington at the age of two.
She was married on Sept. 7, 1942, to Urban L. (Ben) Bergeron, in St. Joseph CoCathedral in Burlington.
As an only child, Pauline appreciated and cherished the greatest gifts in life; a loving husband, five children, 12 grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren. She will be remembered for her selfless devotion to family, her enduring faith, her engaging spirit and gentle grace, her love of entertaining, and any activity involving family or friends. She enjoyed volunteering, bowling in the Ethan Allen Club women's league, golf and bridge with friends and traveling especially to Ireland where she visited her extended family. For over 25 years she and her husband spent the winter months at their home in Boynton Beach, Fla., where they enjoyed the company of many dear friends.
Pauline was predeceased by her husband on July 30, 2003, by her daughter Joan Alice in 1949 and by her parents, Louis P. and Marie L. Levesque.
She is survived by her four children and their spouses: Paul and his wife Susan, Jack and his wife Cathy, Jane and her husband Bill Guyette, and Jay and his wife Joanne. She is also survived by: 12 grandchildren: Ben Bergeron, Matthew Bergeron and his wife Barbara, Kyle Bergeron, Jennifer Carlson and her husband Brad, Adam and Aaron Bergeron, Jeffrey, Joanna, Michael and Peter Guyette, Rachel and Joseph Bergeron; and two greatgrandchildren, Taylor Carlson and Anna Bergeron.
Pauline was a member of Christ the King parish for over 50 years, and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 6, at 10 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 136 Locust St., Burlington.
Burial will follow in New Mount. Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday at the Ready Funeral Home, South Chapel, 261 Shelburne Road in Burlington.
