My Great-Great Grandfather. Surname was actually spelled "Fitzsimons" with one "m".

NOTE: He was in the 191st Infantry, not 19 as shows on headstone.

9 Jun 2011-Further research shows that Company G, 191st Infantry Reg. PA was involved with the Petersburg, VA siege which lasted from Jun 1864 to Apr 1865. Assumption is that Henry was wounded during the early days of this siege and died on board U.S. Transport heading toward a hospital area.
