He was born on April 29, 1940 in Klingerstown, the son of [the late] William Hoffman, Sr and Reba(Morgan)Hoffman.
William was married to the late Ruby (Bloch)Hoffman for 62 years. She passed August 8, 2021.
He was a member of Salem Church of Rough and Ready, 11 Church Road, Klingerstown.
He was a retired coal miner and worked till the early 80"s. William enjoyed spending time with his daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, camping, yard sales, boating, hunting, fishing, playing cards, watching the Philadelphia Phillies and riding the roller coasters at Knoebels Grove.
He is survived by six daughters, Betty Ramer, Susan, wife of Steve Reed, Catherine Lucas, Patty, wife of Kerry Madenford, Pamela, wife of Richard Ney and Billi Jo, wife of Glen Crissinger; 15 Grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and a great great grandson; 3 sisters, Nancy Rothermel, Anna Wiest and Shirley Straub.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and daughter, Sharon Hoffman, a son-in-law Dennis Lucas , 2 grandchildren, Troy Hoffman and Dawn Neidlinger; 3 brothers, David, Roy and Mark and 2 sisters, Martha Wiest and Ellen Hoffman.
There will be viewing held at his church on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 from 10-11 AM. Services will start at 11 AM with Rev. Mark Mantz officiating. Burial will be in the church graveyard.
