In February 2023 officials at the Pickaway County Historical and Genealogical Society shared records for what was known as the Walston-Harris Cemetery. The cemetery was originally located on the James P. Walston farm and before that, it was the homestead of Obed and Molly Walston, who moved to Pickaway County around 1813. According to their records "the cemetery was located 0.4 miles south of U. S. 22 and 0.2 miles east of Williamsport. The location of graves were by the rough boulder stones. It became abandoned and the farm was later owned by B. W. Harris. There are no longer any stones or evidence that a cemetery ever existed."

According to records of the Pickaway County Historical Society, there are only two recorded burials here. One is for Obed and Molly's son Josiah Walston (memorial #254125291) who died on 2 November 1857. The other is for an infant son (10 months old) of C. B. and S. Helwagen, dated 28 April unknown year. A search of records determined that the parents listed are Charles Barnhardt Helwagen and Sidney Lou Walston. Sidney was the daughter of James P. Walston who owned the farm at this time. Some family trees on ancestry have an infant born to this couple around August 1859 and dying around August 1860, though these same trees list the child as a daughter while the cemetery record indicates a son. This was clearly an infant child of Charles and Sidney.

This cemetery was located on land Obed Walston purchased in 1813 and used at least until the death of his son James P. Walston in 1862. Though the Old Walston Farm Cemetery was clearly a place of family burials for a long time, because it was abandoned and lost to time, it isn't possible to create a confirmed findagrave location today. Please see my complete narrative for the Obed and Molly Walston Family for a more detailed discussion about this cemetery.
In June 2023 I discovered this infant was named Charles E. Helwagen. He died at age 10 months in April 1860. Cause of death was fits. (U. S., Federal Census Mortality Schedules, 1850-1880, Pickaway, Ohio for Charles E. Helwagen, page 1, line 5)
