William Abt
William Abt of 18 Crystal avenue, Port Richmond Center, a veteran of the first World War, died yesterday in US Marine Hospital where he had been a patient for five months.

Mr. Abt who was injured and gassed while serving overseas, was a member of Richmond County Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Great Kills Lodge of Masons. Some years ago, he had been active in Scouting o the Island. He came to the Island from Manhattan about 20 years ago. He had been an electrician with the Bethlehem Steel Company for past five years, previously being employed by the Staten Island Edison Corporation.

Surviving are his widow, Alice; his father Louis of Manhattan; a brother, Martin of Great Kills and two sisters; Mrs. Martha Kepner of Berwin, Ill. and Mrs. Rose Hitter of Brooklyn.

Services will be conducted by the Masonic lodge and VFW post at 8 o'clock tomorrow night in his home, while a religious service will take place at 2:30 pm Sunday. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
