Joseph Charles "Fritz" Anhalt, age 66, died on Sun. Feb. 29, 2004 at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne; beloved husband of Henrietta Janet (nee Turiccki), dear father of Deborah Beck and her husband Carl of Burlington N.J., Joseph Anhalt and his wife Denise of Newtown, Carol Wright and her husband Jeff of Pennsauken N.J., Diana Anhalt and her husband Michael Erdos of Philadelphia and Steven Anhalt of Fairless Hills, loving grandfather of Christopher and Jamie Anhalt, Timmy and Brian Beck and A.J. and Joey Wright; also surviving are brothers George, Henry and William Anhalt and sisters Anna Varacallo, Josephine Sherman, Theresa Nasuti and Catherine Pinkstone. Mr. Anhalt was also the dear brother of the late Francis and John Anhalt. Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Anhalt was a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was the deputy director of procurement for the Department of the Navy. He enjoyed reading, baseball (Philadelphia Phillies) and cooking. He was also a graduate of LaSalle University.
