Coonrod (Conrad, Coenrad) Lambert Burgett was born in Middleburgh, Schoharie county, New York, the son of Lambert Burget and Margret Eckerson. He was christened in the Middleburgh Reformed Church on November 26, 1797.
He married Elizabeth Snyder on January 2, 1816, in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Middleburgh, Schoharie county, New York. Their children included: Harvey L. Burgett, James Burgett, Charles Nelson Burgett, Cornelius Burgett, Bartley Burgett, and William Burgett.
Coonrod and Elizabeth "Betsy" moved west with their family and settled on a small farm near Genoa Junction, Walworth county, Wisconsin, until about 1865, at which time they moved to Richardson county, Nebraska, where they lived out their lives. Elizabeth died on December 22, 1867 (burial location unknown), and Coonrod died on July 7, 1870. [RS]
