Stephen was a man who had more lives than a cat and just as many aliases; Steve, Stevie, Steve-o, Sweet Steve, Scuba Steve, Big Steve, Big Casino, Mona, Babe, Dad and his favorite, Opa.
Stephen married the love of his life and best friend Linda Dianne Bobbitt, on July 19, 1980 in Manchaca, Texas where they resided for 38 1/2 years before moving to Burnet to enjoy retirement life living by the water on Lake Buchanan.
Stephen is a alumni member of St. Mary's Catholic School. After graduating he moved to Austin, Texas.
Stephen retired from Austin Energy (City of Austin Electric Dept) after 30+ years of service as a Network Distribution Superintendent at the age of 49. Stephen was known for his integrity and work ethic and his passion for being a Lineman. When he wasn't working, he loved spending family time in the spring and summer months fishing, camping, boating, and the fall and winter months hunting, which included spending most weekends at the ranch in South Texas. Later in life his favorite hobbies were anything that included the grandsons and going to the casinos, who will now never get their money back.
Big Steve was instinctively loved by children and dogs, even though he was able to be a force to be reckoned with, deep down he was a gentle giant. He will be dearly missed by way too many to mention, but will never be forgotten.
