Flora Hickman Gundersen Shepard, age 87, died March 2, 1996.
Born September 4, 1908, in Mammoth, Juab County, Utah, to Edwin Paul and Etta Hills Hickman. Married Arnold P. Gundersen on June 1, 1927. He died August 4, 1944. Married Jack V. Shepard on July 30, 1946 in Elko, Nevada. He preceded her in death on February 5, 1987.
Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Janet and G. L. (Roy) Houberg of Sandy; grandson, Mark Houberg of Murray; sister, Beth Chatwin of Santa Monica, Calif.; cousin, Audrey Richmond of California; special sisters-in-law, Edna Hickman of Provo, Norma Culver of Sandy, and Blanche Shepard of Salt Lake City; also a lifelong friend, Bereneice Naylor of Sandy.
A special thanks to her physician, Dr. Vere Lancaster, and to Hospice personnel, Pat Krugar and Pamela Crenner, for their loving care.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 6, 1996, at 12 noon in the Goff Mortuary Chapel, 8090 South State, Midvale, where friends may call Wednesday from 11 a.m. to time of services.
In lieu of flowers, if you so desire, donations can be made to Hospice, 2970 So. Main Street, Salt Lake City, UT 84115-3553, in the name of Flora Shepard.
