Lois Allard Gronberg passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at her home on Long Lake on June 20, 2022.

Lois, age 92, was born on July 1, 1929 in Springfield, Ill. to German immigrants Gus and Amalie Kopatz.

In 1961, she and husband Bob moved their family to Long Lake, Wis. where they had honeymooned years before and built a home on Schnacky Road. She had a home on the Road for almost 70 years. All of her children and grandchildren learned to love the lake as she did.

Lois was active in the community, 4-H club, Birchwood Lions Club and the first Bluegill Festivals, politics, church activities, and had many good friends around Long Lake.

She had a sharp sense of humor which she passed along to her children, as well as a love of music.

She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters. She was also preceded in death by husband Bob Allard, father of her four children.

She is survived by her husband Jim Gronberg and by her children Laurelynn Haskins (Stanley), Bob Allard (Diane), Leanne Creighton (Mike) and Tom Allard (Rhea). Also by her grandchildren and great grandchildren Chip Walton (Elsa) and son Jonas Walton and Molly Allard and son Uriah Allard.
