Ashley Lynn Nichols, 12, of Mansfield, died unexpectedly March 15, 2008 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Ashley was born April 9, 1995 in Mansfield to Colleen Jean Hunt Worner Daily and William A. Nichols, Sr. She was a 7th grade honor roll student at Malabar Middle School and was a member of the National Honor Society, who loved playing the viola. Ashley enjoyed talking on her cell phone, using cameras and computers, and playing with her dog "Scrappy".

Surviving are her father, William Nichols of Mansfield; two sisters, Brandi Worner and Brittany Sweet both of Bellville; three brothers, William A. Nichols, Jr., Ronald T. Nichols, and Ryan W. Nichols all of Mansfield; four nephews and two nieces, Christopher Nichols, Thomas Nichols, Nathaniel "Nate" Nichols, Elijah Nichols, Ianna Harvey, and Searena Nichols; maternal grandfather, Rory Hunt; paternal grandmother, Betty Roy; maternal great grandmother, Betty Moore; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Ashley was preceded in death by her mother, Colleen Jean Hunt Worner Daily; grandmother, Gloria Hunt Baxter; great grandmother, Ruby Carroll; and maternal great grandfather, William Moore.

Calling hours will be from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2008 at Werner Funeral Services, 175 W. 3rd Street, Mansfield. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2008 at Shelby Maranatha Bible Baptist Church, 2179 Taylortown Road, Shelby, with Pastor William Lamb officiating. Burial will be in Lexington Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements had to be delayed as a result of the investigation and processing at Cuyahoga Co. Coroner's office.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Werner Funeral Services.
