Leo A. Bauer, 82, of Bally, Pa., died Sunday, January 8, 2006, in Pennsburg Manor, where he resided. He was the husband of Mae (Letterhouse) Bauer. Born in Barto, he was a son of the late Howard and Gertrude (Moser) Bauer. He was employed as a maintenance foreman by Bally Ribbon Mills for 30 years before retiring in 1988. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, earning 11 battle stars. Survivors: Wife; sons, Leo C. Bauer of Clarksville, Tenn, Daniel L. Bauer of Boyertown; daughter, Janet L. (Bauer), wife of Donald L. Conrad of Bally; a granddaughter. Interment in Most Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church Cemetery.
