She attended Gahanna Freewill Baptist Church for over 30 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlos and Roma Jeffrey; husband of 56 years, Rev. Ted Short; brothers, Doug, James and Ralph Jeffrey; and sister, Marcella Shoaf. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Kathy and Gerald Messer, Karen Short Higman, and Ted Short, Jr.; grandchildren, Shawn (Mary) Boyd, Jamie Dunn, and Morgan Nolan; great grandchildren, Karissa and Bella Dunn; sister, Nola Kinser; and sister-in-law, Ethel Short.
