Lydia Octavia Coleman Willis was born July 17, 1912 in Victoria, Texas, the daughter of George and Pearl Reed Clutter.
She went home to be with the Lord on December 2, 2009 at Texarkana, Texas at the age of 97 years, 4 months and 25 days.
She was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County and a homemaker. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, where she was a former director of Ladies Mission and she had also taught Sunday School for many years.
She enjoyed sewing, making crafts for the church bazaar and quilting. She was a gardener and loved planting flowers.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, John T. Coleman and by her second husband Clarence W. Willis.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons and daughters-in-law: James Coleman and Wilburn and Geneva Coleman all of Richland, Washington, Homer and Doris Coleman, Monroe and Nina Coleman and Jerrel and Linda Coleman all of Broken Bow, Oklahoma;
Daughters and sons-in-law: Esta Callaham-Baez and husband Ernie of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Lanell Absher of Garland, Texas and Veleta and Don Ehrlich of Navarre Beach, Florida;
22 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends, including a very special friend, Teresa Short.
