Clifford M. Deem, 52, of Marrtown, died Wednesday morning at two o'clock in St. Joseph's Hospital where he had been a patient for the past four weeks. He had been ill the past five weeks. Born at Chesterville a son of Mrs. Emma Cale Deem and the last Arthur H. Deem, he spent the greater part of his life in the Parkersburg community. He had been employed with the American Viscose Corp. for the past 19 years.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Beatrice Hill Deem; his mother Mrs. Emma B. Deem of this city; a brother, Norman K. Deem of this city; a sister, Mrs. Dewey Lemon of Charleston, S. C. and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 c'clock from the Leavitt funeral home with the Rev. Robert A. Moore Officiating. The body will remain at the mortuary where friends may call.
