Note:
James T Plumlee was born in Tennesse and moved to AR to homestead land. Was married twice and had ten children by his first wife and three by second wife.
He was a farmer all of his life. He was also a Judge or Justice of the Peace. In addition he had a broom factory. This was told to me by a Helen Johnson Lamb daughter of Ruth Plumlee James daughter. Helen said that when she was a little girl they were not allowed in the factory but, they went in anyway because it was so much fun to play there. Ruth Plumlee is still living in 1997. She lives with her daughter and her husband Don Lamb in Carthage, Missouri. I visited them in Pittsburg, Kansas in 1947. All I can remember was the streets were made of red brick.
