He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Martha Borovka; his sister, Joan Dooley; and brother, Bob Borovka.
Jim met his wife, Marlene, at Culligan, Inc., where he retired with over 40 years of service as a lab technician. Within their 59 years of marriage, they enjoyed many cruises, playing cards and mah jongg. He was an avid bird watcher, loved muskie fishing, coaching, and dog track racing. Jim suffered from end-stage renal disease, and with seven years of dialysis was very grateful for his special nurses, doctors and their staff.
A memorial visitation will be held 9:30 AM, Monday, May 22, 2023, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Libertyville, IL, 121 E. Maple Ave., Libertyville, IL 60048. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM. The Entombment of cremains will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, IL.
