Mrs. Elizabeth Wille, 88 year old mother of Gustav Wille of the Town of Chelsea, passed away Wednesday, February 24, after a short illness.
Funeral services were held from the farm home of Mr. Wille, with a sermon by Rev. J.H. Stelter, and the singing by friends of several appropriate religious songs. German and English services were held for the deceased at the Lutheran Trinity Church at Chelsea of which she was a member and burial was made in the Chelsea Cemetery.
Mrs. Wille, nee Stuthe, was born December 10, 1843, in Mieste, Germany. She married on June 8, 1866, to Albert Wille; three children were born to them, all of whom survive. In May, 1887, the family emmigrated to America, and settled in Ozaukee County, Wisconsin. Six years later they moved to Chelsea, which place they have since made their home.
The husband of the deceased preceded her in death, he having died January 9, 1910. Besides her son Gustav of Chelsea, Mrs. Wille leaves a daughter, Mrs. Helen Kessel of Cedarburg, and another son, Otto, of Port Washington, Wisconsin. There are also seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. All of the children and grandchildren were present at the funeral, in addition to a large number of friends and neighbors.
The pallbearers were Emil Schwoch, George Fleegel, Mike Bahr, Gust Lemke, Richard Rindt and Ed Behling.
