A homemaker, Alberta loved having little ones around. She helped look after many of her grandchildren and great grandchildren while they were growing up. She enjoyed working in her yard and tending to her garden. Alberta over the years also liked going to The Eagles Club dances, crocheting for a time and bowling. She was an accomplished league bowler, having collected several trophies along the way.
Alberta is survived by her daughters Tammy (Ken) Mullalley and Karen (John) Knueven, both of Sunman; sons John (Cindi) Fecher of Lucasville, Ohio, James (Rhonda) Fecher of Sunman, Daniel (Kris) Schneider of Sunman, Michael (Carol) Schneider of Batesville, Peter (Cathy) Schneider of Batesville; sister Wilma Ripperger of New Point; brother Kenneth Flaspohler of Brookville; daughter-in-law Debbie Schneider of Batesville as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. In addition to her husbands and parents, she is also preceded in death by Son Gerald Schneider; sisters Mary Thornsberry, Lorraine Dierckman; brothers Cecil, Bill and John Flaspohler and great grandson Vaughn Fischer.
Visitation is Friday, September 23rd, from 9 – 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services follow at 11:30 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church in Morris with Rev. Stan Pondo officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family requests memorials to St. Anthony's Cemetery Fund or Ripley Crossing's Activity Fund.
