Albert G. Wamser, Jr., 81, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at his home in Osage City.

Albert George Wamser, Jr. was born March 28, 1942 in Emporia, the son of Albert George "Bert" and Hazel (Finn) Wamser. He graduated from Reading High School in 1960.

He was a cowboy and lived and worked on farms, in and around Reading, Kansas and Sturgis, Kentucky. While in Kentucky, he was a member of the Sturgis General Baptist Church. Albert was currently attending the Burlington Baptist Bible Church. He was strong in his faith and loved sharing it with others.

Albert will be forever remembered by his companion, Joy Wamser of Osage City; his two daughters, Jean (Kevin) Hedgepath of Emporia and Kristi (Rusty) Davenport of Osage City; three step-children, Lana Carter of Lyndon, Shawn (Virginia) Barger of Reading and Wes Dunlap of Lyndon; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Allen Gregory Wamser.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home in Lebo. Family will receive friends an hour before service. Inurnment will be in Reading Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hand In Hand Hospice and sent in care of Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home, PO Box 43, Lebo, Kansas 66856.
