The Edmonson County native was a retired Philip Morris employee. He was a son of the late Virgil Massey and Bessie Davis Massey and the husband of the late Emmogene Blair Massey. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Clyde Massey, Lum Massey, John "Fouch" Massey, Jack Massey and Howard Massey; and five sisters, Hope Hodge, Eva Mae York, Sibyl Kinser, Lena Hardin and Modie Johnson.
Surviving are a son, Scottie Lee Massey of Louisville; two daughters, Teresa Krokowski (Stephen) of Collierville, TN and Debbie Massey of Louisville; a granddaughter, Bridget Byers (Jason); two great grandchildren, Brooke Byers and Perry Byers; and several nieces and nephews.
