The Herald Palladium of Benton harbor, Michigan carried the obituary of Mildred (Wooldridge) Gale on Tuesday 04 Aug 1981 and it reads: "Mrs. Mildred Gale, 71 of 167 Spring Lane, Benton harbor, died Monday at Mercy Hospital, following a long illness. Funeral arrangements were incomplete this forenoon at the Fairplain Chapel of Florin Funeral service. Mrs. Gale was born July 23, 1910, in South Haven. She is survived by one cousin, Mrs. Margaret Bevelhymer of Benton Harbor." The following day the following appeared in this same newspaper: "Gale Rites Graveside services for Mrs. Mildred Gale, 71, of 167 Spring Lane, Benton Harbor, who died Monday will be held Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at Crystal Springs Cemetery. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at the Fairplain Chapel of Florin Funeral Service." Her death record gives her father as "Bert" Wooldridge and her mother as Eva Chaddock.
