Alexander "Alex" Boyd Smith, 56 of Saddle Drive, Gaffney, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at his residence. Gaffney .

Born in Cherokee County, SC on June 6, 1966, he was the son of the late William Boyd Smith and Brenda Ann Richard Smith. Alex was employed by Dollar Tree Distribution.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Boyd Smith

Survivors include a brother, William Lee Smith and wife, Debbie of Gaffney; two sisters, Reba Ann Henderson and husband, Robert of Gaffney and Karen Lynn Smith of Mississippi and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

The burial will follow the service in the Rose Hill Memorial Park.
