The Funeral of Mrs. Lyon
The largely attended funeral of the late Mrs. Harriet Lyon was held from the El Verano depot last Saturday morning after the arrival of the 10 o'clock Southern Pacific train. The long cortege slowly wended its solemn course to Mountain Cemetery in this city, where the remains of the deceased were tenderly laid to rest beside those of her late husband in the family plot. Rev. Lee of the M. E. church conducted the services at the grave, speaking feelingly of the many virtues and high Christian character of the beloved mother whose spirit and flight to that better and brighter world. The pall-bearers were:—C. E. Johnson, G. H. Hotz, Geo. Breitenbach, T. J. McGimsey, R. A. Poppe and J. B. Small.
