Maurice G. "Moe" Wilhoit, 68, of Marshall passed away at 4:12 p.m., Saturday, September 9, 2000 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.

He was born on November 28, 1931 to Glenn B. Wilhoit and Lillie Aileen Burkett in Clark County, Illinois. He married Norma Higginbotham on May 14, 1955 in Flat Rock, IL.

Mr. Wilhoit was retired from PSI where he was a supervisor after being with the company for thirty-one years. He was also a farmer for forty-three years.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Norma, sons Edward Whlhoit and Terry (Tina) Wilhoit both of Marshall, daughter Gina (Karl) Elshoff of Marshall, brothers Rex (Retha) Wilhoit of Martinsville, and Carrol Wilhoit of Rancho Cordova, CA, sisters Donna (Herb) Hutchens of Fort Worth, TX, and Joyce (Ron) Cornwell of Edwardsville, IL, five grandchildren Brian Wilhoit, Tara Wilhoit, Torry Wilhoit, Katrina Elshoff, and Cody Elshoff.

Mr. Wilhoit was preceded in death by his parents, brother Doit Wilhoit and sister-in-law Jean Wilhoit.

Services will be at the Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall on Tuesday, September 12 at 2 p.m. with REv. Dennis Wright officiating. Visitation will be Monday evening and 7 am. till service time.

Burial will follow at the Ohio Cemetery in West Union, IL, with military graveside rites by Marshall American Legion Post 90 and VFW Post 5975. Memorial contributions may be made tot he American Heart Association or the Five Points Christian Church.
