The burial site is unproven and will be updated should better information become available. This is a graveyard that was used by other Hartzell's in the area where Isaac died.

Isaac was married to a woman named Margaret. However, Isaac's Margaret does not appear to be Maria Margaret, the daughter of Johann Philip and Christina Barbara (Kreiling) Hertzell, as several on-line sources suggest. That does not appear to be correct due to evidence that Isaac was still living in 1816 after Maria Margaret had married Andrew Rowland on January 25, 1793.

========== Isaac's Parents and Siblings =========

Isaac's parents were Jonas and Catharine (Santee) Hertzel. They had nine children:

1) Isaac - Born 8 Jul 1764.

2) Regina - Born 22 Sep 1766, died 25 Feb 1815. She married Philip Knecht. They are buried in Dryland Cemetery.

3) Jonas - Born 3 Jan 1769 and died before 1820.

4) Sara - Born 19 Jun 1771, died 19 Dec 1791 (age 20) and was buried in Dryland Cemetery.

5) Elizabeth - Born 13 Aug 1773.

6) Jacob - Born about 1774.

7) Maria Catharina - Born 21 Dec 1775.

8) Margaret - Born 5 Feb 1783. She married George Kreidler and had several children. She is buried in Hanover Cemetery.

9) Catharina Elizabeth - Born 2 Jul 1789 and only lived one month. She is buried in Dryland Cemetery.

3) Regina (deceased) - Oldest daughter and the wife of Philip Knecht.
4) Molly - The wife of John Knecht.
