Actress. She was best known to daytime television fans as Barbara "Bobbie" Spencer on the popular ABC daytime soap opera "General Hospital" from 1977 to 2023. She began training for the classic ballet at age 5. She was later accepted into the New Jersey Dance Company at age 15 and then accepted a scholarship from New York University to pursue a major in dance. She later was a Playboy Bunny at the Playboy Club in 1972. In 1974, she made her acting debut in the adult film "Deep Throat Part II." She went on to appear in such films as "The Day the Music Died" (1977), "Class Reunion" (1982), and "Young Doctors in Love" (1982). In 1976, she made her television debut on the daytime soap opera "The Edge of Night." Besides "General Hospital," she went on to appear in such series as "One Life to Live," "The New Mike Hammer," "Chicago Hope," and "The Bay." She received three Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series and one Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series nominations for her work in "General Hospital."
