Of Jackson, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023 under the loving care of his family and the staff at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home at the age of 91 years. He is survived by one son, Greg (Heather) Rumler; one daughter, Joan (Doug Hamming) Colligan; seven grandchildren, Alexis (Cody) Hamilton, Edward, Nikki, Stephen, Natalie, John and Elizabeth; one sister, Jeanne Yonan; several nieces, nephews and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Carol L. Rumler.

Jim was an United States Navy Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. He taught in the Jackson Public Schools for 30 years and was an avid golfer, bowler and card player. Jim enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 11:30 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Fr. Timothy MacDonald officiating and Deacon Dave Etters as Homilist. A private interment will be held at St. John Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Church on Friday, May 12 from 10:30 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass.

Instead of flowers contributions to St. John Catholic Church would be appreciated.
