Marlin Perkins, 40, died in a Tyler hospital at 2:45 p.m., Sunday after a brief illness. He was born in Henderson County, and had lived in Athens all his life. He was employed by Mathes Manufacturing Co. and was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Mr. Perkins is survivored by his wife, Mrs. Georgena Perkins of Athens; five sons, Johnny Lee, Marlin H, Wayne, Joe Dan, and Randy Perkins, all of Athens; one daughter, Darlene Perkins of Athens; one borther J D Perkins of Athens; one sister, Mrs. Vivian Barron of Brazoria.
