He was born on October 10, 1948 in Robeson County, North Carolina.
Pete was a man of God, Vietnam Veteran, and a farmer; he was a hardworking man. Pete loved his family and was a great provider. He always had a smile on his face and never met a stranger. He had great delight in spending time with his grandkids and was always helping others in need. He loved to play the piano for family and church services. Pete was well known for his generosity and his playful spirit that would make people feel welcome around him. Pete will truly be missed by everyone that knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sanford Allen and Ronnie Lee Allen; and two sisters, Annie Lois Carmody and Mary Lois Locklear.
Pete is survived by his wife of 52 years, Delois Allen of the home; a son, Jody Allen (Shonda) of Lumberton; three daughters: Buffy Jacobs (Chris) of Lumberton, Tamptha Allen (Berdie) of Pembroke, and Crystal Hunt (Kenny) of Lumberton; four grandsons: Jody Allen Jr., Nolan Jones, Lakein Pete Allen, and Austin Bullard; five granddaughters: Teleshia Allen, Koleena Allen, Miracle Urban, Summer Mattocks, and Allyssia Jacobs; four great granddaughters: Ensley Chavis, Blake Chavis, Kaniya Tyner, and Kally Tyner; two sisters, Dorothy Campbell of Lumberton and Patricia Brooks (Hubert) of Lumberton; three brothers: Marshall Allen of Statesville, Clark Gilbert Allen (Judy) of Lumberton, and David "Todd" Allen (Willie) of Lumberton; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
The memorial services will be held in Pembroke Church of God.
