Joseph Milton Lindsey, 84, died at his home near Lacie, Saturday. He was the last member of his large family, early settlers in Henry County. He was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church since he was sixteen years old.
He is survived by his wife: Malinda Tingle Lindsey; two daughters: Mrs. Kizzie Lindsey, Louisville and Mrs. Georgia Kendall, Bedford; eight sons: Tom Lindsey, Orville Lindsey and Joe Lindsey, all of Louisville, John Lindsey, Bedford, Jess Lindsey, Port Royal, Willie Lindsey and Elva Lindsey both of Turners Station and Roy Lindsey of Camp Hood, TX.
Funeral services were conducted at the Hopewell Church, with Rev. Jack T. Akin, pastor of the Campbellsburg Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in the Port Royal Cemetery.
