A funeral for William Roy Walker, 73, of New Hope, will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the New Hope Methodist Church with Elder Fred Stewart, James Dennis and Rev. C. H. Ferrell officiating. Burial will be in Walker Cemetery. The body will be at the church one hour before the funeral. Butler Brothers Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Walker died at his home after a long illness. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Cathy Mann Walker; a daughter, Mrs. George Morton; a sister, Mrs. Lilly Rivers of New Hope; a granddaughter, Mrs. Billy Rollings of Guntersville; and a great-grandson, Roy D. Rollings.
