Born and raised in Hillister, the middle of three children born to Dorothy Lea (Morgan) and Harold Allison. During her early married years, Karen moved to Beaumont where she had resided for the last forty-two years of her life.
She was a special education teacher with Beaumont Independent School District and was an active member of Woodland Baptist Church of Beaumont where she was the organist for many years.
Her father, Harold Allison; mother, Dorothy Allison; brothers, Harold Allison, Jr. and James Allison preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Tom; daughter, Alison Crosby Martinez and her husband Neal; grandchildren, Jarred, Olivia Leigh and Audrey Grace Martinez; sisters-in-law, Ernestine Allison and Beth Allison; nephews, Trey Allison and his wife Sharice and Michael Allison and his wife Marilyn; nieces, Pam Hudson and her husband Kevin and Elizabeth Kenesson and her husband Jay and many grand nephews and grand nieces.
